OVERVIEW
In terms of battery life, JBL - Everest 110 is the best option. However, the Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT is a great choice overall, taking into consideration the criteria of sound quality (aptX technology) and the availability of advanced technologies (multi-connection capabilities, ergonomic design, battery charge time and voice prompt capabilities). There was no available information about the lifespan of the products, but 3 out of the 4 models (all except the JBL- Everest 110) offer a 2-year warranty. COMPARISON
We compared four wireless headphones as requested: Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT Wireless In-Ear Headphones, Bang & Olufsen - Beoplay H5 In-Ear Wireless Headphones, Bose - SoundSport wireless headphones, and JBL - Everest 110 Wireless Headphones by four criteria (true sound quality, battery life, average lifespan and "X-Factor", or unique features/advanced technologies). Since there was no pre-compiled information, we searched for each model separately and compared them.
BATTERY LIFE
JBL - Everest 110 is the best option out of four presented in terms of battery life. It can function for approximately 8 hours without recharging. The second place can be given to both Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT and Bose - SoundSport wireless headphones that function for about 6 hours, while Bang & Olufsen -Beoplay H5 In-Ear Wireless Headphones offer only 5 hours of battery life. Another aspect to consider is the time taken for the battery to charge. All the models of headphones can be charged within 2 hours, while Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT can be charged in only 1.5 hours.
SOUND QUALITY
We analyzed characteristics of each model of headphones which make the sound quality higher, using information from such reputed industry media such as TechAdvisor, Headphone Review and websites of the manufacturers. Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT features aptX and aptX Low Latency technology, which as well as ensuring "higher quality playback", allows the audio transmission to perfectly sync with any visuals, with the sound quality of the CX 6.00BT reviewed as being comparable to a Sennheiser model which retails for almost double the price. Bang & Olufsen- Beoplay H5 also uses the same aptX technology but it does not work as well with reviews noting "occasional grainy mid tones and harsh audio". JBL - Everest 110 has relatively powerful bass but the mid-range is a "mixed experience", whereas Bose - SoundSport has "excellent quality" in the mid-range frequency. The latter do not have aptX technology and accordingly, they the lack sound quality of Sennheiser-CX 600BT and Bang & Olufsen - Beoplay H5.
AVERAGE LIFESPAN
It was impossible to find such type of data as our comprehensive search of corporate websites and industry articles determined that none of the manufacturers disclose such information. Furthermore, all the products were launched in 2018 so there is lack of third-party reviews on the lifespan, as it has not been possible to test the product over the long-term to determine this. Therefore we decided to compare those models by the criteria of warranty since the longer term of warranty is offered, the higher the chances of product's longer lifespan. Sennheiser -CX 6.00BT, Bang & Olufsen - Beoplay H5 and Bose - SoundSport offer a 2-year warranty while JBL = Everest 110 offers only a 1-year warranty. X-FACTORS
We searched through official companies' websites and found different features which could be considered "X-Factors". In general, Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT appears to offer more advanced technologies in comparison with the other models. Those additional technologies include multi-connection capabilities so that a user can pair "with up to two devices simultaneously", an ergonomic design for optimized fit, and voice prompt capabilities which can notify the user of battery status. Bang & Olufsen - Beoplay H5 offers magnets built into the earbuds, which can automatically pause the music. Bose - SoundSport wireless headphones have an inline microphone, which allows the user to take calls from a smartphone, and a built-in heart rate sensor. JBL - Everest 110 Wireless Headphones do not offer any particularly unique functions. It is impossible to define which company has better "X-Factor" due to the subjectivity of the user, however. That is the reason why we will take into consideration the number of advanced technologies, in which case, Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT is the winner.
CONCLUSION
Although each model has its advantages and disadvantages, Sennheiser offers the best all-round model in terms of sound quality, battery life and charge time, and unique features. Accordingly, the Sennheiser-CX 6.00BT Wireless In-Ear Headphones rank in first place. JBL - Everest 110 has the greatest battery life (8 hours), but is lacking in other features.
