INSIGHTS
GradeXpert, Seesaw, Educa, Showbie and Behance are five technology providers of digital portfolios for students in Australia.
Behance, owned by Adobe, is a service and app that specifically allows users (and schools) to create digital portfolios for sharing for prospecting.
Seesaw, Educa, Showbie and GradeXpert are end-to-end student management systems that also offer digital portfolio capabilities.

FINDINGS
Some popular digital education portfolio apps and services in Australia are GradeXpert, Seesaw, Educa, Showbie, and Behance. Below you will find a detailed explanation of our findings and how we selected these entities.

As requested, the attached spreadsheet has been completed for rows 2-6, detailing five digital education portfolio apps or services popular in Australia. In order to determine and select those apps most popular in Australia, we first searched for Australian-specific articles naming some commonly used or recommended digital portfolio companies. This method gave us Seesaw, Educa, and GradeXpert as prominent digital education technology companies in Australia offering digital student portfolio capabilities. While we found several relevant Australian-based articles, very few actually named a company specifically. Since a digital portfolio can be accessed or created anywhere in the world, not just via a local Australian-based company, we then broadened our search to international popular digital portfolio apps to see if they were active or prominent in Australia. This allowed us to select Showbie and Behance, as both companies featured a decent user base in Australia.

All but GradeXpert offer an app for adding items to a student portfolio. While GradeXpert is not app-based as requested, it is an Australian-based company. Therefore, in lieu of being able to confirm five digital portfolio apps popular in Australia specifically, we elected that the geographic focus was more important since there are other parts to this project looking at other locales. As we also note in the spreadsheet, GradeXpert, Seesaw, Educa and Showbie are actually end-to-end student management systems who offer digital portfolio capabilities as part of their wider offering. Only Behance is more portfolio-specific in nature.
Therefore, while there is no exact pre-existing information that allows us to categorically find the 'top' or 'largest' digital education portfolio apps in Australia, we diligently compiled five such companies based on the best available information in the public domain. There is very little Australian-specific information on education technology providers, but we selected those with either headquarters or offices in that location (meaning they are most likely to be popular locally) or with a reasonable userbase of Australian users. These were all companies specifically mentioned or found to offer digital portfolio capabilities. We used the previously submitted request on Canada as a baseline for selecting companies in a similar manner.

As one final note, GradeXpert has not released any information in the public domain on their number of users. We checked their official website, looked for any press releases and searched for any news articles about the company before concluding this figure was unavailable.
